Prague... old fashion craft

March 23, 2010 Well, to finish the Prague series i will show you the pictures of their local craft, i was very happily surprised when i saw that their craft is very simple, beautiful and with non pretention, just very typical in the old fashion way.
I found marionettes...
Made from wood and ceramic.
These ones you can find them anywhere around the center in any corner.
I found this particular shop at the end of the very famous Charles bridge.
The shop does not have a website or even a business card so i took a picture of the address in the wall just in case you want to find it.
This is the inside of the shop

Their marionettes are very unique differents from the rest. ![]()
You will enjoy this shop.

And here it is my choosen marionette getting wrappred.
And here is Alfonsine in his new house in Tokyo.
Wood toys...
Like in the old times.
Just plain wood toys.
Or hand painted.
I wanted everything from this shop.
These are wood eggs painted.
With different motives.

In Halvelské Trziste very famous market...

I found this carrousel
The dolls...
The Glass ...
If you are into beading so you know that Swarosky come from Czech Republic, they are very refine beads differents from the rest with a special cut.
And they work the glass in general vey well.
These others i found them more Russian craft that from Czech Republic, they are also painted with klimt images.

i did not get very well the relation between this craft and Czech Republic but... is beautiful too.

I hope you enjoy all these European cities`s craft posts, with this one i finish Prague so i`ll move to another city but i will show you another things of Madame Craft first.
See you...

And thanks a lot for sharing all what your tireless eyes saw in Praga. I myself love knowing other countries and cultures, so when I cannot do it, I travel trough other peoples` stories... ¡Gracias amorcito!
